gparted

gparted is a disk partitioning utility with a gui interface.

basic usage

Boot your computer from a Linux bootable CD or DVD. I had good results with Linuxmint. Launch gparted from the command line with:

mint@mint:~$ sudo gparted

Your screen will look something like this:

The commands should be pretty obvious after clicking around. gparted may require you to run something like e2fsck before it will modify a filesystem.
