howto copy a CD in k3b

You can launch k3b from gnome's application menu:

Or you can launch it from the command line:

[ggeller@ws05 ~]$ k3b

If you get a warning, see K3b/Warning.

This is k3b's main window:

Insert the CD you want to copy into your machine. I'm making a copy of the Fedora 7 live CD. Click on Copy CD...

Click on the Start button. You may see a dialog like this:

Click on Default Setting. Then you get to see the progress dialog.

When k3b finishes copying your original, it ejects it and prompts you to insert a blank CD-R. Then it continues with the copying. When it works you get to see:
