UTC
UTC is Coordinated Universal Time, which is basically the same as Grenich Mean Time.
This page shows how to control your Linux machine so that the sytem clock uses UTC or local time. For dual boot (Windows/Linux) machines, you want to use local time. For systems that won't be running Windows at all, UTC is slightly less confusing.

To use local time edit /etc/default/rcS and set:
